Worlds most expensive cupcake?

Now most people pay around $1-5 for a cupcake, but can you think of anyone that would pay $150,000? Now for a little cupcake that sounds outrageous, but it has been done. Around the world you can find cupcakes ranging from the mid hundreds to the high hundred thousands!
If you want to take a bite out of a $750 cupcake head over to Las Vegas where you will find this beauty. It has edible gold flakes, and gold-vanilla caviar! Now isn't that something.

Now if your thinking about spending a little more, than you might want to consider this cupcake valued at $106,794. With a 5.48 ct diamond on the top. It is truly a wonderful cupcake to ask someone to spend the rest of their life with you.

If still this isn't your style, than we have arrived at the most expensive cupcake money can buy. This $150,000 cupcake was made in Scotland by ROX Luxury Jewelers. http://most-expensive.net/cupcakes

Red Velvet Anyone?

My all time favorite cupcake would have to be red velvet. This cake had started to make its way up the charts around the early 1920's. It is a beautiful cake that is made with food coloring to give the cake it's wonderful red color.  Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City had invented this cake or cupcake which ever one you prefer, and I'm sure people can agree with me when I say that I'm thankful that they did. It took me a few tries to get a even decent cupcake, but when I made it perfectly it was like  heaven. If you look at the right, those are my semi good red velvet cupcakes.
For the ones that aren't so adventurous at making cakes from scratch, there are many boxed cakes that taste wonderful. But if you are will to try to make one by your self here's a good recipe I like. One tip for the people that are going to make it by themselves, don't use beet juice, just go and buy some red food coloring, trust me you will thank me later!

Red Velvet Cake:
2 1/2cups (250 grams) sifted cake flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons (15 grams) regular or Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups (300 grams) granulated white sugar
2large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk
2 tablespoons liquid red food coloring

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes.

Now lets take a walk on the wild side, shall we? One of my favorite favors are pink lemonade, mostly because of the color pink! I even learned how to make my own pink lemonade ice cream! And when I found I can have this flavor in a cupcake that I can make it home, my mind was simply blown. I got the inspiration from my ice cream and I looked it up too see if it was a real thing, and it was! I've made these a year back and the came out to my liking.
I really think people should try these if they want to get away from their regular boring vanilla/ chocolate cupcakes. With the the right amount of sour and sweet, it makes the perfect treat. So you get to have this drink in cupcake form. I love getting the cupcake and pairing it up with some vanilla ice cream. Its like the perfect combination! Anyone will fall in love with these cupcakes, and its a sweet thing to try. Also so far there really is no history on who was the "One" to start these, but hey if you have an idea try it out!

World's smallest cupcake.

Now we have explored the worlds biggest cupcakes, now why not explore the smallest cupcake.  So everything you have for the biggest cupcake, its the opposite for the smallest cupcake. Each small cupcake is a big as a quarter, and contains; less than one egg, less than a tablespoon of sugar and flour.  Even though i have never tried out a small cupcake, but I'm pretty sure it taste just as wonderful. And just like regular cupcakes, people go beyond for decorating.
I really like this blog because they show all the things needed to make small cupcakes. http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/ittycupcakes/

Toppings

You can go crazy with cupcake topping. So lets start off with the different kinds of frostings. You can start with something as simple as vanilla to something more outrageous like apple cinnamon, or even lemon. The flavors are endless. You can start off with basic ingredients and make something that could actually turn out to be good.
Moving on to topping, just like frostings you can have endless things. From sprinkles, to fruit pieces to even chocolate. And what to put on your cupcake, is really your decision.
My favorite toppings would have to be fruits. It makes me feel like I'm eating a little healthier, and they taste great. The juices of the fruit gets soaked by the the cupcake leaving you with a moist cupcake. The topping i use the most is strawberry. I use strawberries both in and on top of my cupcake when i make them.

Biggest Cupcake?

How would your like to take a bite out of a cupcakes that has 2,000,000 calories, and weighs 1,224 pounds? Sounds like one heck of a cupcake huh? It must be with all the ingredients they use. With over thousands pounds of ingredients use, one might ask themselves why bother with all of this. Well there're are many answers to this question starting off with, being in the Guinness Book of world records. Next one i found out that was very interesting was people actually order them for their parties and those are pretty big also.  As for me i'll stick to my little individual cupcake so i won't have to share.

How did cupcakes come to be?

Cupcakes are such a amazing thing, and they have been around for a pretty long time. At least from the beginning of the 19th century. Cupcakes have gotten that name because of how they were made, and measured. Not much has changed since they 19th century, because people still enjoy cupcakes like they did in the past, but maybe a little more now. If you didn't know cupcakes are a universal treat, you can try them pretty much anywhere.
